BOOM·TOWN NOUN ˈBÜM-ˌTAUN
:a town that experiences a sudden growth in business and population : a booming town
In the mid 1800s, the boomtowns of California became points of convergence for those lured by potential riches and excitement.
Tens of thousands moved to various overnight success-story towns, with one purpose in mind… to make it, and make it big. Some of those towns ceased to exist after very short periods; others remained until the well ran dry.
Los Angeles maintains a similar allure for those that move in every year to pursue their dreams. They provide an injection of new blood with their own aspirations to make their mark. The arts industry in Los Angeles remains one of the most influential in the world, creating an undying boom that has made this city the mecca of creativity it is today.
With that in mind we embark on a journey to bring artisan beer to the masses, and to embrace creativity within the community.
Boomtown Brewery crafts old world, unfiltered, full flavored beers with integrity. What this means to us is time in tank, quality ingredients sourced from vendors and farmers who align with our principles, honoring time tested methods to ensure quality, and embracing classic (and even sometimes obscure) styles of beer that have contributed to our shared brew culture.
“Boomtown is crafting ales for people who like full flavored beer and want to know what it was like BEFORE prohibition.”

Boomtown is a haven for expression and grit, it’s what the Arts District in Los Angeles is all about.
Our taproom is a respite for local artists, makers, crafters, builders and get-sh*t-done-ers from every walk of life.
Boomtown has labels designed by local artists, and furnishings, fixtures, and structures built from neighboring craftsmen. Our taproom is a community space for patrons to gather and enjoy our beer and each other’s company. We host a variety of weekly events from live music to trivia, open mic nights, food festivals and more. On a larger scale, we’ve hosted film festivals, weddings, corporate events, and community marketplaces of all shapes and sizes. It’s all in the name of contributing to the community we call home.
